While the 47th Academy of Country Music Awards are still over a week away, they did announce today their “Speical Awards” which will not be broadcast during the event. We would like to congratulate Vince Gill for receiving the Career Achievement Award, which is presented to an individual artist, duo, group or multiple artist collaboration who have advanced the popularity and acceptance of country music through their endeavors in the entertainment industry in multiple areas during the preceding calendar year.
JAKE OWEN’S “ALONE WITH YOU” GOES GOLD
RCA recording artist Jake Owen’s current hit single, “Alone with You,” was certified gold today by the Recording Industry Association of America, based on sales in excess of 500,000 digital downloads to date. The song holds the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and No. 3 on Country Aircheck. The music video for the song has received nearly two million views on VEVO. “Alone with You” is the second single from Jake’s album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
